The summer heat is here and it’s time to get outside! We love to pack snacks & outdoor games and head out for a picnic, I read one of my favourite cook books while the kids chase the bugs, read their own stories or enjoy some yummy snacks. One of my favourite cook books right now from Indigo is Forest Feast Gatherings – a vegan recipe book full of delicious ideas for the entire family! I recently got my hands on this super cute picnic basket too and talk about SWOON, I found it while strolling the aisles of Homesense Canada surprise surprise ha! It was only $49.99 and came with cutlery, plates, napkins and even the sweetest salt & pepper shakes and bottle opener – all I had to do was fill it with goodies. When packing for a picnic I of course need to include a full roll of Royale Tiger towels – you never know what kind of messes myself and two toddlers can get up to during a picnic – we brought some pizza this time, fruits, yoghurts, hummus and crackers and some cookies…the paper towels were put to great use! They’re not just handy for wiping up those summer bbq spills these also come in handy as napkins for setting outdoor tables, or wrapping around the base of your favourite homemade popsicle…if you are serving corn on the cob smothered in butter or a lobster feast they also make for a great bib tucked into the collar of your shirt ha, #winning!
