Today I reaalllyyy wanted to share my absolute favourite home tour with you guys, a home tour by My Domaine owned by the oh-so beautiful Lauren Conrad. You guys may have seen, no I am SURE you guys have seen some of these images circling Pinterest, you may in fact have pinned them yourself a million times late at night after the kids go to sleep – totally speaking from experience here lol! My Domaine does some great interior design pieces, you can find plenty of inspo from their website or Instagram. I am obsessed with this house, not because of the owner (I mean we all know everything Lauren touches turns to gold) but because I LOVE every thing about it…yes it could have something to do with the greenery worked into each space too. You guys know I am a plant lady, if there is a plant version of the crazy cat lady that’s moi, with 5 fiddle figs and 4 other trees I think I may have a problem (with no interest in getting help lol)….when people ask Craig and I if we are having any more kids we laugh and politely say no, and Craig almost always throws in that I just buy more plants when I have that baby itch lol…
I am also a collector of kitchenware, glassware & English china so naturally I am so drawn to Lauren’s exposed shelves in her dining space. The beautiful big wood dining table also has my heart beating fast, I could totally picture entertaining some great dinners with friends & family or a an afternoon tea, a business brunch? Or maybe a quiche making party!! And what about that brass chandelier guys? And those wishbone chairs? You know my love of wishbone chairs, we have them in white but perhaps soon I will need to invest in another colour, maybe I can blend my white ones with stained ones like above…any thoughts?
Back to the home tour, this is Lauren Conrad’s LA home, I believe I read recently that it is up for sale – or was, I mean there is NO way this thing lasted on the market? Heck, if I had the moula I would have jumped on (obviously). As I said, I love every thing about this space. I love the character filled hardwood flooring, the beautiful white kitchen cabinets with the sharp dark hardware…that French range guys…., it’s white & copper, I know you are with me on this one!!!! I especially love the stained wood details, those window frames- you don’t see that very often and they give such a beautiful contrast to each space. I love how Lauren has a way of mixing eclectic/bohemia vibe with all things pretty & feminine. Craig loves this house too and the style of it, we both are in love with the kitchen island too! I mean this post could go on with LOVE as every 6th word, easy lol….I swoon this tour so badly!!!! What do you guys think of it? Do you like how they put a vintage clawfoot into a more modern eclectic washroom? What are your thoughts on the stained wood window framing? We have some big news coming soon and this house is giving me so much inspo!!!!!
I am also loving the use of white subway tile, any one who knows me knows that I am a big fan of the good ol’ white subway tile…I would pick that over a marble one any day. I love how clean it looks and it pretty much works anywhere. This house is FULL of natural light and beautiful big windows so the white tile just makes every thing look that much more grande and spectacular.
