After having two children I thought I would never migrate out of nursing bras (seriously), I was one of those moms that actually found them super comfortable but they were so, SO not sexy!!! Since I haven’t been nursing for awhile now it was time to get back into bras that were flattering but I wanted bras that fit comfortably and looked great under my favourite day to day pieces like a simple white tee or casual dresses – my mom uniform. I was so excited to try the
WonderBra Meant to Be Seen line with it’s lovely lacy details that peek out, the details on the garments are beautiful and luxurious and they make me feel sexy again! The bra is only $48 here in Canada which is a great price point for a great bra, you can find the collection at The Bay. I feel wonderful in them, the nude set has been perfect for under every outfit or to lounge around my bedroom in with a cute cardigan…I just love the set so much I don’t want to cover it up!! If you asked me a year or two ago if I would ever post pictures like this I would have laughed, it’s really neat to see how things have changed since having my kids and my friend Tamara who photographed me was so incredibly encouraging. My body is so different since having my second, I am still struggling to get back to whatever “normal” is and to find balance but I’m working on it. There’s so much pressure these days on body image and I wanted to celebrate this point in my life and what my body has been able to do, I mean I created two beautiful people…I grew them and now I am watching them grow and to me that’s wonderful! But, being a busy stay at home mom that also works from home can get pretty exhausting and I won’t lie, some days I don’t feel so fabulous.
I’ve been committed over the past month to do things for myself to feel wonderful again, this year I promised myself that I would invest more time in myself as a person and not just as a mother…I mean, to be the best mother you need to feel great as a person as well! I’ve started yoga again, I am making sure to drink tons of water every day and eat healthy with the kids. I am trying to organize my time a lot better too so that I am not so all over the place and frazzled, when you work from home it is so easy to get overwhelmed and struggle to divide work time and the home life. I’ve also been trying to go to bed earlier, I am notorious for staying up late working when I should be catching up on sleep and then trying to survive off of coffee all day. So, in order to feel wonderful I am making rest a focus, it makes a big impact on not only my mental state but also my skin! Of course, to feel wonderful I am also investing in some beautiful undergarments to wear under my new fall wardrobe – more important than you’d think!
