My Bucket Bag: Nena & Co. | My Top: Sash Boutique | Ella’s Bag: Nena & Co. | Ella’s Romper: Nena & Co.
This summer has been one for the books but when September came, so came the tears. My little girl started school this year and even though I only send her 3 days a week, I’m just a slight mess about it all. This summer we would take walks together or just head out for girl time while Noah would hangout with daddy and Ella and I would search for fairies, she loved the Tinkerbell movies for a good two months and so the fairy search was a daily thing and all she would talk about lol! In these photos we are off to the park with our favourite summer bags by Nena & Co. they were so great for every day use and we love twinning accessories. Ella’s adorable romper in this shoot is actually by Nena & Co. too and it’s the sweetest thing!!! Their products aren’t just beautiful and colourful though, they are well made and truly stand for something – they are made by Guatamalan families and rather than just admiring the talents of these impoverished Maya families, Nena & Co. is committed to always giving back in some way! When you purchase one of their bags it will enable Nena & Co. to make a difference in Guatemalan lives, whether it is by providing purified filtered water or a scholarship to help Guatemalan artisans receive a better education. It’s really important to me to work with brands like these and explain the stories behind them to my daughter, Ella loved knowing that her bag and mine could be helping a little 4 year old somewhere far away! My camera strap is another piece from Nena & Co., my favourite camera strap hands down, it’s the perfect length and I swoon over the embroidery. I love anything floral too which you guys know and it pops on every outfit. Whenever I wear it when we are out taking photos I receive so many compliments and people are asking where to find one, they have SO many different designs and you can see them all {HERE}! Usually when we head out I bring along my camera, I try to get some cute shots of Ella when it’s just her and I because I can really focus on getting that perfect shot to keep forever. Craig and I love sitting down sometimes and going through all of our pictures of the kids, it brings back so many memories and I know it sounds corny but it’s a great way to reconnect after a sometimes stressful week after the kids go to bed. I usually end up in tears and Craig is trying to make me laugh lol, they seriously grow up far too quickly!
Since Ella was born she’s been by my side, we are always together and always have been and we love it that way! The whole JK thing left me with a ton of anxiety over the month of August, the closer it got the less sleep I was getting and the more mini panic attacks I was getting in the night, is this normal? I literally couldn’t sleep when I would lay my head down on my pillow, my mind would stir and when I could fall asleep it was far too late and was short. Of course I know I was more afraid of it all than she was, I mean – she is doing AMAZING. She didn’t even cry! She is loving her new friends, crafts and probably the break from her little brother LOL. We’ve all been so busy the last 3 months that we wanted to take some time as a family to just be together, go on an adventure and spend some quality time together. So, we’ve planned a family vacay that is just 8 sleeps away…can’t wait to tell you all more about it this week!
