I hope you guys had a chance to follow along on our Taste of Toronto adventure with American Express Canada! I am still full from all of the indulging if you can believe it!?! We tried so many different delicious meals from amazing restaurants and chefs from the Toronto area and enjoyed the many perks of being an Amex Cardmember with our Amex Access. I don’t think we really had any idea just how great our access really was until we got to experience this event over 3 days. It really gave me the chance to enjoy every detail and opportunity. I spent a lot of time in the Amex Lounge, this was my hub for when I had to pause and get some work done or just sit back and enjoy a drink! The Lounge had its own bar and Crown Top Up Machine for Cardmembers to use. So fun! During our first night in the Amex Lounge they actually had a live DJ which really gave a nice distraction from the food when we needed to sit back and digest haha!
We had the opportunity to take part in some wine tasting (necessary of course lol) as well as watch some live cooking at the Taste Theatre in our reserved front row seats, might I add! Amex Cardmembers got a chance to experience these cooking demos and classes up close and personal, thanks to the reserved front row seating, which was available on a first come first served basis. I even got to enjoy champagne out of a fresh coconut from one of the booths! One stand had fresh pink lemonade popsicles, so delish!!!! Okay, and I know you were all excited about my snapping about the Churros Nest & the Pistachio Gelato Sandwich!!!! My favourite food was probably on the third day when we had the chance to join in on a MasterClass with local Toronto Chef Cory Vitiello from The Harbord Room. We made a yummy seafood bouillon with shrimp and clams, totally up my alley! With our Platinum Cardmember access we had early entry into the event for our class, a front row cooking station with complimentary matching aprons and champagne…what more could we ask for? I loved how intimate this MasterClass was, there were other guests there to enjoy some cooking too. We had the opportunity to bond, make new friends while learning a new recipe and we even had some time to chat with Chef Cory after the class!
American Express really provided the best access for all of these amazing experiences at Taste of Toronto, from skipping the lines to reserved front row seating at live demos and the Lounge…I couldn’t imagine not having these things at our fingertips! To find out how you can unlock more summer events with American Express in music, dining, theatre and retail, I strongly suggest visiting www.amexinvites.ca to see what upcoming events are near you. The weather is hot and the sun is shining…from date night ideas to events with friends or family, they’ve got the perfect lineup for their Cardmembers and with their exclusive Cardmember perks, you’re sure to have the BEST time!!
