Disneyland with PullUps
Our first night in LA we got to meet up with the other influencers along on the journey, such sweet people and one was French so of course it got us speaking it, we really don’t speak French enough at home and it reminded me that we need to start. We brought my mom along with us as a gift to her for always helping out so much with the kids, we really wanted her to be there to see Ella’s first visit to Disney. I’m pretty sure my mom cried when Ella met Mickey haha!! My mom speaks French daily and she pretty much became the group nana, hanging out with all of the kiddos and helping every one manage their baggage + kiddos. It’s also always nice having an extra set of hands for the camera, not that I have those photos…but once again, I won’t go there lol. Back to the first day, we all got to enjoy an amazing Italian family style dinner at one of the resorts in downtown Disney called Naples…the food was divine!!!! We had fresh pizzas, delicious salads…I stuffed my face, we all did! If you followed along on Snapchat {roanneawest} you saw the feast they laid out for all of us, talk about leaving full…I had to undo my jeans just to be able to comfortable walk LOL. After that we all headed to bed to catch up on some rest after a long flight and time change. We were in LA for 3 days and our 3rd day was all about us enjoying ourselves at the park, we stayed at the Disneyland Resort Hotel & Spa and we loved it, they always have fun activities going on for the little ones and our second morning we even got to have breakfast with the characters!!!
The second day was the big event with Pull-Ups, the Potty Partnership event that was so much fun for the kids! The Potty Partnership program is all about a whole new way to train, together. The kids were able to take part in a ton of activities with Craig and I like arts and crafts, role playing all to really teach both parents and children that potty training is a partnership between yourself and your child. At each activity base we worked together and the kids also did independently to complete challenges and the kids earned a sticker for their sticker chart and Ella loved it, she especially loved the puppet station and she pretender her bear was using the potty. Noah of course just stood there and giggled lol. The amazing Pull-Ups team even surprised all of the little ones by having each character come visit them!! We learnt more about our childrens potty training personalities at the event and I was lucky enough to have a sit down chat with celebrity Jamie King to find out her potty training tips for boys as Ella was so so easy and quick to potty train and I was so nervous to start with Noah. I also had the opportunity to talk with child psychologist Dr Heather Wittenberg. A mother, potty training expert and doctor who has teamed up with PullUps and created this amazing personality quiz to help parents understand what potty training personality their child has and take the guesswork out of potty training. Every child is different, we know this. So, naturally – every child will and should approach potty training differently. PullUps is passionate about making this partnership with your child a positive one, not scary or stressful. See more {here} and take the quiz!
The key to success in potty training is working WITH your child’s personality, not against it.
The Pull-Ups website is actually SO FULL of amazing information and quizzes, things like how to talk to your child about potty training and “readiness” quizzes. Sometimes the signs of when to start potty training aren’t as clear as we’d like, Pull-Ups has done the work to make it easier on all of us mamas! Prior to our trip Noah had started letting us know when we wet his diaper, we knew right away it was time to introduce potty training…I found it so nerve racking since I had only potty trained our daughter prior. We did the Potty Training Personality quiz for both Ella and Noah, I was curious to know what Ella’s personality was when I had potty trained her before she was 2 and I was curious what Noah is presently (1.5 yr old), Ella was the puppy who is ready and willing to potty train and likes routine, motivate by snacks (so true lol). Noah was the squirrel with a mix of puppy, the squirrel personality is a busy one that isn’t interested in slowing down. I think both of our kiddos are a mix of squirrel and puppy potty training personalities. Take the quiz {here} and find out what potty personality your child has!
The Pull-Ups line is full of great product for the Potty Training journey, when we trained Ella we even had special night time princess ones after she was trained to use the potty during the day – the evening was a lot harder! Now we’ve stocked up on Pull Ups for Noah, we are a couple of weeks in and so far doing well thanks to all that we’ve learnt on this adventure with the Pull-Ups Potty Partnership Program. There is so much information on their website here www.pull-ups.com, here are just a few topics we’ve read through:
