I have to include that being a couple that has done a TON of renovations in the years (that we do ourselves), we’re so lucky to be working with such a quality line of moulding and interior finishings…Metrie has truly exceeded our expecations. So much so that we are doing 2 more rooms of the house with them! If you’ve watched this adventure of ours on Snapchat {roxanneawest} you would have seen all of the work on our bedroom and my office so far, next up is the living room and we start it in two weeks! I am so excited to do the living room next, it’s amazing the impact trim & moulding work can really do on a space – especially since this is just a 3 bedroom 2 story home – we do not have 12ft ceilings or 5000 sq ft and my house already feelings like a million dollar home after the work with Metrie. There is a lot you can do aesthetically in your home to increase it’s value or to make it prettier, you don’t need a massive home or to spend 2.5 million to have beautiful spaces. Interior finishings are so much more than just details!
I have to admit that it’s been so hard for me, it’s so conflicting living in a home that you know is just a stepping stone to the next one and that you can only do SO much or invest in so many things to make sure that the property is the income property it was intended to be. We are not flipping and selling, we are renting it – this is not my forever home…I can’t decorate and remodel it as if it is so. It doesn’t make sense financially. But what I can say is that we’ve worked hard on this home to give it the best of furnishings, we’ve renovated and done things that make every space more usable! I can give you a full tour on the blog at a later date but today is about our bedroom :). And where I am going with this is that by investing some time and money into the aesthetics of the space with crown moulding, trim work – wainscotting and beautiful doors we’ve managed to completely change the space into something more high end than your basic builder grade. I can confidently say that when we do move onto the next house and rent this home, whoever moves in is going to LOVE the spaces and the detailed work we’ve done with Metrie. Absolutely beautiful. Love all the white ? I would do my laundry room. It’s been neglected in all the renos at our new home.
SO much white right now because the room is empty, wait till it is all decorated! Still a lot of neutrals and whites but not entirely white anymore!! It makes for the perfect canvas though, a laundry room would be amazing especially with a great accent tile on the floors…a mosaic or faux wood!

Love, love, love this! If I won I would do baseboards, window and door casings and new doors. I am also obsessed with coved ceilings and paneled walls. My house is missing baseboards and window and door casings (who does that) but I have several rooms that need something special added to them and Metrie’s moldings would do that. On my list is my living room, master and guest bedrooms, and stairwell to start. If I had to pick one project I would either start with my master bedroom or my stairwell. It would definitely be something I would see daily and would bring me a sense of peace and enjoyment daily.

Love what you did with the room. I have to say the idea of planks covering popcorn ceiling is genius. I have popcorn ceiling that I hate, but did not want to touch them because of the mess.

Thanks Jolie, we despise popcorn ceilings too and during my first pregnancy I tried removing them in our first house…BAD IDEA I nearly put myself into early labor haha This was such an easy way to beatify the ceiling and cover them up without the awful mess! Best of luck in the giveaway 🙂
