Sometimes days with little ones fly by and other times they are rough, I mean really rough. For the first four months of Noah’s life he nursed ALL-THE-TIME and some days I wasn’t sure if I would make it till Craig got home without shedding some tears, he wouldn’t take a soother which in turn made me his soother…which truly is okay. There is nothing wrong with not giving a baby a soother or the baby wanting to use mommy to soothe, but sometimes it just wasn’t ok for us.
Ella took a soother, mind you we only gave it to her for car rides and nap/bedtime but my point is that she could self soothe with one, I really hated the soothers she loved though..you see more than once her soothers broke into 3 pieces…dangerously small, freak a parent out pieces. So I went through the process of emailing the company blah blah blah but around that time we weaned her from the soother. Now when Munchkin came out with the Latch soother I was so happy to find a product that relieved me of the stress of a soother breaking into hazardous pieces, and one that didn’t collect germs inside the nipple and liquids. This soother is easy to clean & sterilize and I trust that it is safe, it is all ONE piece. As I said, Noah doesn’t take a soother but he sure loves teething on these and the odd time he latches to it. They also make for great gifts for baby showers and these adorable one in our photos came with a soother clip that rattles (Noah loves smacking it around on things). I do have to say I notice a huge difference between our daughter and son, he is way more destructive and super super curious, he loves to sneak over to our fiddle leaf fig tree in the living room (as I am telling him not to) and try to eat the dirt from its pot. I hope you find this review helpful and if you love his little outfit as much as we do I have attached links to them below. You can find the latch soother at Target!

Great post! I will def. check out this soother… I have to ask, how did you go about weaning your daughter off the soother? I have the opposite, my first refused a soother which I was fine about but my second needs it to fall asleep. Shes 5 months now and I contemplate when to start taking it away from her. We had a rough start with colick and we began to rely on soothers and now shes hooked. Only for bedtimes but still I want her to be able to fall asleep without one like her big sis.
