One of my absolute favourite things to do these days is capturing moments of Ella & Noah interacting, sometimes I miss those perfect smiles they give each other as if they already have their own secret language and really “get” one another but since teaming up with Canon Canada I have been camera ready! Capturing baby moments has always been important to me, my parents really documented my early childhood in video and photo albums and I want our kids to be able to have the same. Since I am not a professional photographer it has been so helpful to have the Canon Baby Moments App to guide me to capture the perfect shots, for this fun session with the kiddos I chose the bath tub shot from the 7-9 months section. Now this was more of a playful time with water for us vs an actual bath and Ella was determined to sport her new Trout raincoat in case Noah “splashes the water all over everywhere and everything” quote end quote! Thanks to the step by step guide I knew exactly what to do. The most important thing for me when taking photos is natural light, so placing this cute tub next to a window full of natural light was key. Luckily we have plenty of natural light in this house we just had to wait for our days of dark thunderstorms to pass! I used the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 camera in Portrait mode with an EF 50mm lens – I LOVE this lens!!! Their step by step guide makes capturing these adorable moments so struggle free and there are fabulous video tutorials too, just pick your age group and your photo scene of choice…et voila! Ella loved being a part of this fun activity and I can’t wait to try a couple other shots this week of the two of them, I am thinking the bubbles outside next. Can you see those smiles I was telling you about in the photos below? Agh they have me melting and I cannot wait to get these printed and up on our walls!
If you are anything like me, you print A LOT of photos! I am particularly fond of gallery walls and we are constantly interchanging the photos so I am SO excited to be hosting a giveaway for a white Canon Selphy Printer. This printer is perfectly compact and so convenient, now I do not have to load both of the kiddos on a run to the print to pick up prints…I can do them right at home! All you have to do to enter this contest it like Bonjour Bliss Blog on Facebook and comment below telling us what your favourite baby moments have been to capture on camera…easy & so worth it!
Good Luck xo

That little boy of yours has got to be the cutest smiling thing!! Don't worry Ella has long ago stolen my heart. <3 Great post! Love the creative shots! @castleavenueblog
Thanks lovely!
Easily my favourite moment captured of my boys was taken the first night we left the hospital after Elliot (our 2nd) was born. Our boys fell sound asleep, side by side. I always say that, that was the moment they became best friends ♡
That is ADORABLE!!!
I just noticed its my profile pic here 🙂 xx
I have taken THOUSANDS of photo's of my boys over the past 5 (almost 6!!!) years. The very first night we left the hospital after Elliot was born, both of our boys fell fast asleep, side by side, on our bed. Miles had his arm over Elliot's tummy and they looked so content. I always say that, that was the moment they became best friends xx (It's actually the picture for my profile here!)
My all time favourite photographed moment of my sweet baby girl was her newborn shoot… in a very similar bucket! Like I said on your instagram post, there is NOTHING cuter than a baby in a bucket xx
totally!! or a baby in a chunky knit blanket x
My absolute favorite photo of my kids was when they were sleeping after breastfeeding. They looked so content and satisfied. Sometimes they even smiled in their dreams.
oh yes so adorable!!!!
