SO, SO, SO excited to share Noah’s nursery with you all! This was a very fun project to work on with Ashley Davidson Design, I had a specific feel in mind for his camping themed nursery and we were really able to turn it into much more. I love the little Canadian pieces we made sure to include, especially the custom mobile! You will notice as you scroll through the photos that we originally had a gorgeous papier-mâché deer head on the pine tree decal and I truly did LOVE it but we swapped it out for a buffalo print by Banquet Workshop. I wanted you to still see the original wall so you could get a feel that there is so much room to play with a decal wall…prior to us even putting up the faux taxidermy I had our “grow up” print on the wall which looked great too! The possibilities are endless really. I can say that Noah truly loves his room, he sleeps the best in it and Ella loves it too – it was torture trying to keep her from playing in it before we did the shoot so thank goodness now she can take reign in there and break in all of Noah’s toys…preparing him for sharing from this point onwards ha! I can’t really claim to have a favourite in this space as I love so many things in it, I am super proud of our book shelves though I must say! I painted these IKEA picture ledges in a black chalkboard paint and Craig (the super handsome handy-man that he is) added these copper bars for me. I had this idea in my head I drew out for him and he made them perfectly – I love the not-so perfect look of the copper! It was actually Craig’s idea to hang Noah’s hand me down Converse shoes on the bar…go daddy, LOVE! Any one who knows me also knows that I am obsessed with papasan chairs, my mom had one when I was little and she used to play guitar and sing me to sleep in it…so needless to say, we had to have one. Pier 1 has a great variety of chairs & cushions for indoor and outdoor – they even have a loveseat for extra snuggle room! When we changed around the living room I had no space for my favourite chair so I am so incredibly happy that it’s new, perfect home is the nursery. Wow, I could talk for hours and I am really trying not to type too much…the collage wall- another love! I love the mix of personal pieces with vintage and new stuff thanks to Ashley and those wall hoops are so adorable and can be customized which is fabulous…oh how I love my lovely ladies who run Etsy shops!
