Our smoothie challenge has resumed and boy did I miss it, having one a day leaves me feeling so full of energy and with the right recipe it genuinely curves my sweet tooth. If you missed my Instagram post, we are aiming to post a smoothie a day sans-refined sugars for a month. Today would mark day 7 of the challenge and we put together a little kiwi number full of fuel since Craig has been working hard around the house the last 3 days renovating, here in this shoot we featured our eat-in bench area he built so that the original dining area could become by office (on the blog in the New Year). This bench is still being finished, as are the chairs I purchased second hand and this table! We sanded down the table in the summer and stained it to coordinate with the bench cushion we made and I am currently painting the frames of the chairs to match the paint I chose for the base of the table…so far so great. This table is solid wood and cost me a whopping $35 and the two solid wood chairs…$10! I love doing DIY projects and a lot of them-well, all of them have had to take a back seat during the Christmas season and while we’ve been adjusting to life with two littles. I was so thrilled when we decided to work with Kenroy Home, they gifted us this stunning chandelier which I had originally chosen for the office but it made it’s way into our kitchen and I am smitten. I love the mix in this space and cannot wait to keep working on it and share it with you as we do! Next on the list other then a heck-of-a-lot of painting is a minimal shelving on the bench wall and accessorizing. Speaking of accessories, I LOVE these pillows and plan to migrate them around the house every once in awhile to switch things up.
