Well the time has come for me to actually sit down and seriously plan our wedding, for years now my mother in law and I have had a binder slowly filling with pictures of dresses & decor waiting for this day. Craig has given it the once over every once in awhile leaving his two cents, “no I do not like that colour” and “oh ya we have to do that” – his take on things is always adorable. My pinterest board is filling weekly with more and more ideas for DIY, how does one get around to doing it all before the big day? Well, I have started some projects for trial and error just to make sure that outside of an edited image online and in reality, they still look fabulous. I spent an evening trying out different ways to make glitter table numbers & other styles which suit our theme perfectly and we have a little spot in our basement filling with pieces we’ve gathered and that our special friends found for us for the big day. It is fun, and luckily we have a year to prepare…I mean we are going to need it with already so much on the go! A new house we are still renovating – and will be well into the fall, a new baby due in 2 months or less…and enjoying our family time this summer too. I have to say my favourite pins I’ve chosen have to be the flower girl ones, I am so very beyond excited to doll our daughter & niece up for the big day…I hope they find it just as exciting as we do, I am sure I will ball seeing them (makeup ruined before the veil is even lifted lol).
As for our wedding, I made this post because I always find it neat to see what pins I ACTUALLY take on, Craig and I reallllyyy want to have my French background come through in the wedding so it has been fun finding little fun ways to incorporate that. I know that besides our decor ideas, every one of our guests are going to have full bellies…we are BIG TIME foodies and French food is not light! Writing this has me daydreaming of a nice glass of red wine…when I was pregnant with Ella I didn’t miss wine as much as I do this time around. I have a distinct Shiraz craving that I will have to curb by raiding the fridge for berries once I am done posting this! Craig and I were watching Master Chef and cuddling on the couch last night and mentioned how we couldn’t wait to share a glass of wine together.
Well, enjoy this little compilation from my private Pinterest board to show you lovelies an idea of what we hope to bring about on our special day, it will be interesting to see what makes the cut. I did not include any dress inspiration pictures, those will have to stay a secret for now! xo
