Et voila, our tree…our white & gold (with hints of silver) Christmas tree. I still have 2 days to wrap, phew! This gold & white wrapping paper was my Kate Spade inspired buy – other than the big gold bow of course! It was only 3.99 a big roll of it, if you look at the more detailed shots you will see little gold bird foot prints..adorable. The tree has some rustic ornaments in it with burlap, twine and wood so I wanted my second paper to suit and lucky moi I found another paper with matching foot prints…perfect for our little owl friends nesting in the tree. Our tags came in a box of 20 with 4 styles (gold polkadots, gold stripes, Merry Christmas & pink/gold tree) for $5. Both wrapping papers and the tags are from the ever so reliable Homesense. I went back and bought a few extra letters to use for a few gift tags as initials and I turned them into ornaments with the twine & so far the reactions of the giftees have been fab. Of course I had to throw some burlap on a few gifts, it was a fun item to wrap with and inexpensive vs the traditional ribbon. My best friend has a gluten free diet so her present was also decorated with a lovely pack of gluten free strawberry macarons and her initial ‘A’ which she loved. You know hat feeling you get when someone opens their gift and has a big smile…that is what the gift giving part is all about for me, making the ones you love happy.
I love that wrapping paper. I bought a ton of rolls a few years back and I told myself I wasn't allowed to buy more until I have used it all up. I'm sticking to my word, but it's SO hard with all the gold out.
yes I didn't buy anything on boxing day sales last year for christmas so I bought new paper this year BUT my wrapping paper was only 3.99 a roll and I only bought 2! So I do not feel very guilty haha xo
