We are getting close to Father’s Day and some of you may still be on the hunt for some great gifts for the special dad in your life. This week I will be sharing some of our favourite buys for dad with you and today we are talking mens fashion! This year Craig was spoiled early for Father’s Day by J.Crew with some of his favourite pieces from the Mens department, pieces that can be worked into his work wardrobe and his weekend one. He is in an office all week for work so dress shirts are always a great gift for him and since he has a slim/tall build the slim fit options are great. A classic gingham shirt is great all year round and when they’re the perfect fit they look great tucked in or out, they’re especially great when you can order a matching one for your little man from the Crewcuts line (swoon)! Both of their shirts are pre-shrunk too so it saves me from any surprises in the wash. I love gingham paired with a slim fit chino pant rolled up slightly or a nice slim fit chino short and some stylish shoes! I am still working on convincing Craig to rock a straw fedora, give me another month haha! Another great thing about chinos, they look great paired with a nice sneaker, boat shoe or dress shoe. Craig’s been gravitating more towards chinos lately and less towards jeans so a classic navy or khaki are great options for him and J.Crew has a variety of fits for dads of every build. Chinos are also great since dad can dress them up or down, I’ve ordered pairs for my dad & my husband! My husband also lives in his v neck t-shirts, his fav J.Crew tees right now are the slim-fit broken in jersey tees. Lastly, every dad needs a comfy pair of shoes that can be dressed up or down! Craig doesn’t like flip-flops and he isn’t big on sandals, you’ll always find him in his sneakers or dress shoes. So, last year I bought him a pair of boat shoes that he could wear in the summer, without socks and still have that summery look without being in sandals and he wore them to death. Well, he LOVES his new J.Crew Sperry Boatshoes, in the russet colour (and so do I), I love the deep tan shade and I think it’ll be great to work into the fall with the entire from this post too. They’re leather, in a great price point and he says they are super comfy!!!
Be warned though that you will more than likely order items for the entire family after browsing the J.Crew shops or online. We love this brand as it’s a one stop shop for us, we can stock up on items for all of us that we know are great quality and will last for years (or until the kiddos grow out of theirs). Ella is over the moon in love with her donut bag, she wears it every where and was so excited to show our photographer & friend Tamara Lockwood to get snaps of her with it!!! It’s the cutest little bag and J.Crew even has a pizza one!! I of course love all of my items, I am yet to find anything from them that I do not love. This is the very first pair of white jeans that I have truly felt comfortable in, every other pair I have found are either see through or…see through and a white pair was a must for me this season. You all know how much I love my denim! I especially can’t wait to get these eyelet espadrilles and my market tote paired with a white summer dress, this bag is perfection for a day at the beach or running errands with the kiddos!!
Craig has always been an easy person to shop for on any occasion, he appreciates every thing and he was especially excited about these pieces since he’s a man that loves clothes & shoes but doesn’t have the time to go out shopping.
