Our kids surprise us every day, from repeating the not so favourable things that heard us say the day before (oops) to counting to 50 when you only thought they knew how to count to 20! From showinggenerosity and kindness to those in need or show the sweetest sibling friendship ever and you can pat yourself on the back knowing you’ve done a great job to throwing the biggest tantrum you didn’t think they were capable of and you find yourself questioning if you’ve got this whole discipline thing handled all over again ha ha! To those early years of diapers full of “surprises” before they could pronounce “mommy” or “i love you” to now when those words are said clearly and my heart skips a beat each time they say them. Today I wanted to share a letter I wrote to my little ones in partnership with Kinder Surprise Canada, a little way to surprise them back for all of the surprises they send my way!
Today we stopped at the store and I let the kids each pick out a Kinder Surprise egg to enjoy at home, they’d been such great sports over the past two weeks as we moved from our last house in with family while our new house is still being finished. I know a move can be stressful on the little ones too. They sat together and opened their Kinder Eggs (eating the chocolate as they go). They only get treats like these once in awhile so when they do they get so excited!!! I have to admit my kids totally love the little toys inside, they love building the little surprises or adding stickers to them and it’s fun to watch their eyes fill with excitement and we get to all play together and laugh.
Head over to www.kindersurprise.ca/en to write a letter to your kids for a chance to win a toy shopping spree! I am sure you will be just like me and struggle to hold back the tears while typing, I am such an emotional mama haha!!
