The Queen’s Plate 2016 is tomorrow and I am so excited for this fun fashionable event! I can’t wait to see all of the creative hats and beautiful ensembles, this event is such a great summer event to do with a girlfriend or spouse with the mix of sports & fashion – what’s not to love? This year that have a great concert line up too, with Mathew Good and Hedley! The ladies of The Social will also be there running a Hats & Horseshoes event. Taking place in The Social Lounge, an exclusive tent at Hats & Horseshoes, the ladies will keep guests informed on the full complement of activities happening at the party. I am also super excited to spend some time in the Paddock Party, a new addition to the day’s stellar lineup, featuring live music, fantastic food and delicious drinks. Starting at noon, those attending the biggest day in Canadian horse racing will have the opportunity to try fine fare from some of the city’s most popular food trucks, and raise a glass and enjoy premium drink offerings, including Walter’s Caesars, Mill Street beer, and the Blue Diamond, signature drink of the Queen’s Plate. Live entertainment is provided by country music stars Andrew Hyatt and River Town Saints, so as you can see there’s a great variety of music for the entire event! Today I’ve put together some fashion finds that I love for the event, the perfect outfit for the races is truly a personal decision. Some like to get fancied up while others like to stick to simple yet elegant summer attire. I think you are safe in a lovely summer dress & heels with your favourite sun hat but you can rest assured that you will not be overdressed in a full midi skirt, high heels & fascinator!
